I've decided to focus exclusively on my own authorial work

The first article on my blog was about the creative transformation I went through during the traveling time.

Now, after a year on the road, my vision for my art has settled. And in the few weeks since I've been back in Gdańsk, I've clarified the next steps I would love to take.

It's no secret that I've gradually come to the conclusion that I'm closing the chapter of commissioned illustration. The reason is simple, I don't feel like the type of creator for whom this path is a good fit. One piece of evidence is that I almost never share the work I've made for others.

And although I'm grateful for every opportunity I've had, I've decided to focus exclusively on my own authorial work and on offering licenses when appropriate.

And it's not just about illustration. My head is full of ideas, and from time to time I need and want to devote time solely to my own concepts.

Whether it's creating original illustrations, designing collectible illustrated puzzles (I love puzzle so much!), or, for example, writing a book for young readers. 

For now, my vision is tocreate for people who want to have an original piece at home, something that speaks to them. 

Simply put, I've come to the conclusion that Adlaheid Studio is, above all, about Adlaheid.

I'm telling myself to stop following the path that claims creative people or artists must choose one direction and satisfy "those out there" instead of themselves.

And what am I preparing for in the near future?

A small personal book project for the Czech lands.

 Creating a new collection of landmark illustrations.¨

Creating original illustrations that will be sold only as single copies.

And working on my own books.

I can not say what will work the most in the end. And how I manage. But my vision is so clear now and I feel highly motivated to guide myself on this path. It feels like I have found an inner calmness again. 

If you're reading this and feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or tangled in too many directions, maybe this is your sign to pause and listen to yourself. Simplification doesn't have to be drastic.

Whatever your situation, trust that you're allowed to redirect, to choose differently, to create more space for what supports you...
